How to use Swisscows as default search
Mozilla Firefox
- Click here to get the Browser Extension.
- Click the settings/hamburger icon on the Mozilla Firefox toolbar.
- Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
- Under Search section, find at "Default Search Engine" Swisscows in the displayed list and select it.
Google Chrome
- Click here to get the Browser Extension.
- Click the settings/three dots icon on the Google Chrome toolbar (top right).
- Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
- Under Search engine section, click Manage search engines and site search
- Find Swisscows in the displayed list and click Activate.
Brave
- Click on the hamburger menu in the upper right corner.
- Select Settings.
- Now click on Search engine in the left column.
- Open Manage search engines and site search menu and click "Add" near Site search
- Enter at "Name": Swisscows; "Shortcut": :s; "URL with %s in place of query": https://swisscows.com/web?query=%s
- Press "Add".
- Near Swisscows, click the "More actions" icon and select Make default.
Opera
- From the left sidebar select the gear icon (Settings)
- Scroll settings page to "Search engine" section.
- Now click on "Manage search engines and site search".
- Under Site search engines click "Add".
- Enter at "Name": Swisscows; "Keyword": :s; "URL with %s in place of query": https://swisscows.com/web?query=%s
- Press "Add".
- Now you can search with Swisscows using in address bar the keyword :s before your search query, for example: ":s Mexico".

- Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
- Under Search section, find at "Default Search Engine" Swisscows in the displayed list and select it.
Microsoft Internet Explorer
- Click the Settings icon on the Microsoft Internet Explorer toolbar.
- Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
- Under Search section, find Swisscows in the displayed list and click Make Default.
Microsoft Edge

- Select the settings/three dots icon at the top right.
- Click Settings.
- Select Privacy, search and services from the menu.
- Under Search and connected experiences open Address bar and search.
- Select Swisscows as default.
